Mission Statement
At the AdventHealth Orlando Neurology Residency Program, our mission is to train exceptional neurologists committed to compassionate, whole-person patient care, innovation and lifelong learning. Through faith based, comprehensive training, the AdventHealth Neurology program aims to empower our residents to become leaders in Neurological treatment by utilizing AdventHealth's extensive experience, expertise and availability of cutting-edge tools to effectively assess, diagnose and treat a wide variety of neurological conditions to improve the wellbeing of our patients and communities.

AdventHealth Research Institute and the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute are actively engaged in conducting cutting-edge clinical research, spanning Phase I through Phase III trials across all neurology subspecialties. Our robust research infrastructure provides residents with a unique opportunity to engage in innovative studies aimed at advancing neurological care. Neurology residents are encouraged to actively participate in research throughout their training. Expectations include contributing to ongoing clinical trials, assisting with data collection and analysis, and participating in the dissemination of findings through presentations and publications. Residents also have the opportunity to develop their skills further by serving as sub-investigators on clinical trials or initiating their own investigator-initiated research projects under mentorship. This comprehensive exposure prepares residents for careers that integrate clinical excellence with scientific discovery.

Conferences and Meetings - Emergency Neurology – Set of lectures at the start of the academic year focusing on the major neurological emergencies and several common neurological patient presentations.
- Resident Core Competency Conference – Didactics daily from 12-1PM to include core neurology topics (Stroke, Neurocritical Care, Neuromuscular, Movement Disorder, Neuroimmunology, Neuro-infectious, Headache, and Cognitive Neurology.
- Comprehensive Epilepsy Conference – Introduction to the interpretation of electroencephalograms in addition to acute management of seizures, diagnosis of epilepsy, and long-term management of epilepsy.
- Morbidity and Mortality Conferences
