Welcome from the Associate Program Director
The mission of AdventHealth Sebring Internal Medicine Residency Program is to consistently deliver exceptional care and is committed to improve the health, prosperity and well being of the communities we serve. We celebrate the diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences of our patients, visitors and colleagues, and embrace opportunities to learn and grow through our collective experiences.
The AdventHealth Sebring Internal Medicine Residency Program aims to train well-rounded, self-reliant, internists to practice in both urban communities and rural settings. Our goal is to train physicians who embrace a rigorous scholarly approach to practice medicine and whose training would also prepare them to enter sub-specialty training. Our primary objective is to enhance the supply of community hospital-oriented internists devoted to serving the public in our region or similar areas of the nation. We believe that residency training is the crucial step in the continuum of medical education that leads to physician scholars who will practice compassionately, remain devoted to self-improvement and life-long learnings, and assume the responsibility of educating the next generation of internal medicine physicians. We will achieve the program goals and objectives through promoting the four service standards: keep me safe, love me, make it easy, and own it.

Resident appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants must register through the NRMP website in addition to applying through ERAS.

Right in the Florida Heartland
AdventHealth Sebring has offered personalized healing and leading-edge treatments right in the Florida Heartland since 1948. Our three hospital locations in Sebring, Lake Placid, and Wauchula actively promote the eight universal aspects of CREATION Life — Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal Relationships, Outlook, and Nutrition. That means patients get a choice in their care decisions, including the option for a second opinion. Patients and their visitors can take a moment for quiet reflection and uplift their outlook in our hospital chapels. We also extend our mission throughout Florida's Heartland, partnering with local organizations and missions that help everyone in our community live healthier lives.
