For Better Sleep and Brighter Days
- Comprehensive Sleep Studies at Our Comfortable and Modern Sleep Center
You want to wake up feeling rested, with more energy and fewer yawns. We’re here to help. We may start with an overnight sleep study, either at home or in our sleep lab. To help you relax and feel at home, our modern sleep center has private rooms and can accommodate children and those with special needs. For your comfort, your room will be furnished with a cushy queen-sized bed, private bathroom with shower, flat-screen television, and DVD player. You can also use our free WiFi to keep in touch with your loved ones. Your care team may use a variety of advanced tests to monitor your sleep patterns and help diagnose possible sleep disorders, including:
- Home Sleep Therapy (HST)
- Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Nocturnal Polysomnogram (NPSG)
- Pediatric Sleep Study
- Positive Airway Pressure Titration Study
- Split-Night Study
Whether you take a test at our sleep center or at home, know that your care is in good hands. Your sleep care specialists are accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for out-of-center sleep testing and our sleep center was the first in Tampa Bay to receive AASM accreditation. Helping you rediscover restful sleep is our priority. A comfortable stay is our first step.
- Proven Care Options and Lifestyle Changes
When your sleep is disturbed, your days can feel less vibrant. Your care team is here to help you feel brighter and more rested, day after day. At AdventHealth Tampa, formerly Florida Hospital Tampa, we’ll work with you to develop a personalized sleep disorder treatment plan that takes your lifestyle and sleep habits into account. In some cases, a few simple changes to your bedtime routine can make all the difference, like avoiding screens and heavy meals late in the evening or using relaxation exercises before you lie down to sleep. Other treatments for sleep disorders can include:
- Dental Appliances
- Lifestyle Changes
- Medical Appliances
- Surgery to Relieve Airway Obstruction
- Weight Loss
If your sleep study reveals you have sleep apnea, your treatment will include fitting you with a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask to provide a constant flow of air while you sleep. This might feel a little strange at first, but our CPAP clinic is here to support you with free mask fittings and resources to help you get the most from the equipment and feel as comfortable as possible.
- A Multidisciplinary Team to Support Your Sleep Health
As you sleep, your body and mind perform important maintenance to support your wellness, like repairing tissues and storing the memories you’ve made throughout the day. If a sleep disorder like sleep apnea, insomnia, or restless leg syndrome is keeping you awake at night, it’s harder for this rejuvenation to happen. We’re here to help you achieve a healthy sleep pattern again with treatments for sleep disorders that nurture your body, mind, and spirit. Your Sleep Care team includes board-registered sleep technologists and specialists certified in sleep medicine. We’ll also collaborate closely with other departments to create a comprehensive support system you can rely on. This can include dental specialists, nutritionists, fitness and weight-loss experts, mental health specialists, neurologists, and surgeons. Let your sleep care specialists guide you toward a life of whole-person wellness by devising a comprehensive, compassionate care plan.
