Cardiovascular disease claims a life every 36 seconds, affecting many of our loved ones.
The Pepin family's lives changed when Art “Pep” Pepin needed a heart transplant and had to travel for treatment due to limited local care. This inspired them to advance heart care in Tampa Bay, ensuring families receive the care they need close to home.
For over 30 years, the Pepin Heart Institute at AdventHealth Tampa has provided exceptional cardiac care, from diagnosis to recovery. Accredited in five cardiovascular specialties and Tampa Bay’s only HeartCARE Center™, it offers innovative treatments like the WATCHMAN device to reduce stroke risk in people with atrial fibrillation (AFib), the Impella RP heart pump for right-side heart failure, and the TAVR procedure.
Supporting the Pepin Heart Institute helps push the boundaries of healthcare innovation, healing more hearts and saving lives.
The hospital can be scary for children. At AdventHealth Tampa, we offer a less stressful environment and exceptional neonatal and pediatric care. Generous gifts fund programs, technology, equipment, and new facilities, shaping the future of innovative care for our youngest patients. Here are our priorities as we advance pediatric care:
Pediatric Emergency Room Renovation: Enhancements to the patient and family experience at one of the highest volume pediatric ER’s in the Tampa Bay area
Pediatric Clinic Expansion: Expansion of dedicated space to include necessary infrastructure and equipment for our nationally recognized pediatric orthopedic surgeons
Child Life Services: We provide psychosocial care through the purchase of art materials, toys (including video games and virtual reality devices) and additional equipment for children of all ages. Make donations through our Amazon wish list.
Maternal NICU PICU Ambulance: First of its kind ambulance that will offer leading-edge care for our youngest patients, new moms and their families
You can also donate to our Pediatrics fund to support NICU cameras for remote viewing of babies, car seats for parents in need, and simulation tools for educating our pediatric care teams.
Denyse's Story: Finding Comfort During Her Son's Surgery
Denyse’s journey with AdventHealth began not as a patient, but as a mother. Her son Steven, born with three missing vertebrae, had been monitored for years. When his scoliosis worsened, Dr. Geoffrey Cronen recommended surgery — a seven-hour procedure marked by compassion, clear updates and a team that noticed every detail.
Recovery was tough, but the care never stopped for Steven or for Denyse. Help ensure every family receives that same level of care. Make a gift today to the AdventHealth Tampa Foundation to help give patients like Steven the crucial care they need.
They didn't just care for my son; they cared for me too.

Our AdventHealth Tampa Foundation’s goal is simple: support programs and needs that serve Tampa patients, guests, and team members.
By partnering with us to support our areas of greatest need, you have the opportunity to move health forward by funding patient care priorities. Your donations stay within our hospital and 100% goes to the area you designate.
Thanks to generous contributions from community members, our Foundation funds programs that shape the future of innovative, whole-person care. Some of these incredible initiatives include the Taneja Center for Surgery, diabetes education programs, Digestive Health Institute research, simulation tools for pediatric care teams, and much more.
We hope you'll join us to experience how generosity heals.
