All of our pediatric rooms are spacious and private, and we provide beds and resources for families who wish to stay 24/7. We even have a Lagoon Room, which is our dedicated space to make your child feel comfortable during treatments.

You’ve read every parenting book and baby-proofed the house. But sometimes, there are things you can’t plan for. That’s when it’s most important to have faith and lean on a specialized team. If your child is born with a complex health issue, we’re here to support you. Our hospital's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is standing by 24/7 to give you access to the experienced board-certified neonatal All Children's Specialty Physicians and neonatal nurses who are specially trained to care for your incredible child. For older children, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at AdventHealth Tampa is the only provider of critical-care services for children in northern Hillsborough and eastern Pasco counties.
Dedicated Neonatal Transport
We’ll pair you with a dedicated case manager who can help you handle the small details, so you can focus on the one thing that matters most: your little bundle of love. We know they’re your pride and joy. That’s why we work together with you to make every decision for your child’s care. Beyond just treating your child, our goal is to provide comfort for your whole family, at every step.
The Neonatal Transport team provides quick and efficient transfers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Using specially equipped ambulances our team is fully prepared to transport your baby throughout the greater Tampa Bay region. The team, staffed by a specially-trained neonatal nurse and a respiratory therapist, provides care en route identical to that of the NICU. Each transport vehicle serves as a portable intensive care unit and allows the transport team to remain in constant communication with the AdventHealth Tampa NICU before, during and after transport.
- Encouraging Visits. Keeping Your Children Safe.
You want to be here for every treatment and every test. We want you here, too. Our visiting policies allow for two parents or guardians to be here 24/7 with special identification bracelets. For your safety, and for your child's, we've outlined a number of guidelines for our Pediatric Care Center, including:
- Visitors to the Pediatric Care Center must go through security clearance.
- Two parents or caregivers will be provided bracelets for visiting.
- Temporary visiting passes for additional visitors can be obtained. Show your visiting pass to gain entry to our children's unit.
- Visiting will be paused during shift changes between 6:30 and 7:30 am/pm. Visitors in our unit during this hour must stay with the patient.
- Visitors over the age of 18 and must wear photo ID stickers.
- Visitors under the age of 12 must be approved by the health care team and be accompanied by a parent at all times.
- Visitors under the age of 18 aren't allowed to stay overnight and must comply with isolation precautions.
- We're happy you're here to visit, and we hope your stay is as comforting as possible.
