The Commission on Cancer (CoC) is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for patients with cancer by setting and raising standards. They promote cancer prevention, research, education, and monitoring of comprehensive quality care.

The NAPBC is here to help your facility deliver high-quality care for breast disease that’s available today. We set standards, provide quality measures, offer participation in clinical trials, and more. That includes professional education and patient advocacy along with benchmark comparisons.

You’re not alone. A cancer support group offers the opportunity for you or loved ones to share your journey and emotions with others who have traveled the same path.

Our support groups are a free resource to anyone in the community. If you are interested in joining one of our support groups, please reach out to the facilitator listed.

Advanced Cancer Support Group

Through discussion and guided exercises, participants explore ways to cope with the challenges of living with advanced cancer and to continue to find meaning and hope. This group is professionally facilitated by a professional clinical oncology social worker and is open to people living with metastatic and/or advanced cancer, regardless of where they live or are receiving care. The program is free, but pre-registration and a telephone consultation with the facilitator is required before attending.

When: 1st Wednesday of each month, 1:00-2:00 pm

Living Well and Breast Cancer Sisterhood Group

Meeting monthly, this group offers education and peer support for breast cancer patients and survivors at any stage, including post-treatment.

When: 3rd Thursday of each month, 12:00-1:00 pm

Multiple Myeloma Support Group

Meeting monthly, this group offers education and support for patients and their adult loved ones/caregivers. Open to anyone impacted by multiple myeloma, regardless of where they are receiving care.

When: First Tuesday of each month, 10-11:30 am
