Oncology Nurse Navigators address every phase of diagnosis and treatment on an individual and personal basis. Their goal is to guide patients through their cancer journey, help them overcome obstacles, and provide emotional support.

Our team of Nurse Navigators guides patients with abnormal findings through and around barriers in the complex cancer care system to help ensure timely diagnosis and treatment. They assist patients with referrals to surgeons, oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, specialists, and subspecialists and often make referrals for financial counseling, nutrition and support groups.

At AdventHealth Hendersonville, we are blessed to have six Oncology Nurse Navigators who support AdventHealth cancer patients. One is devoted to breast cancer patients; one to oral cancer patients and four support patients with all other types of cancer as well as patients with other primary tumor sites.
