Baby Care Basics (Virtual)
About this Event
This class prepares families to care for their newborn with confidence during the early weeks at home. We'll cover:
- Basics of personal care, such as bathing and diapering
- Strategies for soothing your baby
- How to recognize normal newborn behaviors such as sleep patterns, feeding cues and overstimulation
- Safe sleep
- Basic health and safety, including when to call the pediatrician and what signs require urgent medical attention
- Feeding your baby
This class is designed for expectant parents seeking a practical foundation in newborn care. Instruction is led by a registered nurse and time is included for questions and discussion.
This is a virtual class and will be held on Microsoft Teams. Only one person needs to register for this class. One adult support person is encouraged to attend with you.
