AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park Completes Expansion, Adds New Services

AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park has completed a $5.2 million expansion and renovation, bringing a new behavioral health program and outpatient cardiology and pulmonology services to the complex that already houses primary care, internal medicine, pediatric, neurology, sleep medicine and rheumatology services. This expansion also included a renovation of the Sports Medicine and Rehab annex space.

“This was a large-scale and rewarding project,” said Doug Rich, COO of AdventHealth Ottawa. “The group effort that this took was not a small undertaking and we are more than pleased with the outcome. Our team did an incredible job, and we are thrilled to open this modern, highly functional space for our patients.”

This three-phase expansion included significant transformations in both the Health Park building and the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Annex and more than doubled the square footage available for medical services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.

“I am very excited that we have completed the expansion of AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park located in the heart of Ottawa,” said Doug. “It was a two-year project that renovated nearly 15,000 square feet and also included remodeling 6,000 square feet for our new rehab space.”

In addition, AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park is set to open an Express Care service in March 2024. This service will provide weekend and after-hours care for a multitude of needs.

“This construction project and the expansion of outpatient services represents our commitment to offering whole-person care in Ottawa and to providing exceptional, high-quality health care for rural Kansas communities,” said Dallas Purkeypile, president and CEO of AdventHealth Ottawa.

AdventHealth Ottawa has provided health care in Ottawa for more than 90 years. Since joining AdventHealth in 2019, AdventHealth Ottawa has added oncology, orthopedic and rheumatology services and continues to support the health and wellness of the Franklin County community.
