N.C., AdventHealth Marks Blood Donor Month by Hosting First Blood Drive of the New Year

Jan. 3, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – As you are putting together those goals and plans for the new year, we would like you to consider adding one more item to the list – donate blood. January is Blood Donor Month. This is a great time to make the simple act of donating blood part of your year-long goals. Just one hour of your time can help save up to three lives.

Every day, we have patients in need of blood products for cancer care, surgeries and in our emergency department. During the holiday season there is typically a drop in blood donations. AdventHealth is hosting its first blood drive of the new year on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, to help rebuild the blood supply.

To make it easy for the public to donate, AdventHealth and The Blood Connection are following all safety protocols including requiring face coverings and social distancing. TBC will screen all donors for COVID-19 Antibodies after every completed donation.
