N.C., — AdventHealth Hendersonville Celebrates Newest Winner of Sunshine Award

Sep. 15, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to introduce you to the newest recipient of its Sunshine Award. Brent Emory is the Executive Chef for the Food and Nutritional Services Department at AdventHealth Hendersonville.

Brent earned this award because of his commitment to providing exceptional service to every member of the AdventHealth community, especially throughout the pandemic. His dedication to his team has shone through while navigating a global health crisis with limited staffing, and more responsibilities.

During the pandemic, Brent dedicated his time to helping his department operate smoothly. He has been serving as executive chef for the last 5 years and most recently filled in as interim director. He has been a team member at AdventHealth Hendersonville for more than 15 years and is recognized by the teammates as the glue that holds them all together.

“He is the glue to our department,” shares AdventHealth Outpatient and Oncology Dietitian, Erin Massey, MS, RD, LDN. “He deserves more recognition for his efforts. He takes comments to heart and tries to resolve issues of ANYONE that comes to him. He is one of the kindest, hardest working people I know.”

AdventHealth Nursing Leadership created the Sunshine Award to recognize ancillary team members who strive for excellence in their profession, consistently deliver exceptional care, uphold the highest standards and collaborate with the AdventHealth nursing teams to enhance the experience of our patients, family members and guests while Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

AdventHealth ancillary departments include respiratory services, imaging, laboratory services, nutritional services, engineering, security and bio-med.
