Residents of West Volusia now have expanded access to expert urology care, including a leading-edge prostate treatment not previously available in the area.
Dr. Binod Sinha, a board-certified urologist with decades of experience, has joined AdventHealth Medical Group and cares for patients at AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City.
Welcoming Dr. Sinha to West Volusia is about far more than expanding specialty medical services – it’s about strengthening the trust our community places in us every day - Eric Lunde, president and CEO, AdventHealth Fish Memorial
AdventHealth Medical Group is a network of nearly 450 employed physicians and advanced practitioners serving Flagler, Lake, Sumter, and Volusia counties. Together, they provide care across more than 30 medical specialties. In 2024 alone, the group brought 120 new physicians and advanced practitioners to the region to help meet the growing needs of local communities.
Known for his compassionate care, Sinha specializes in a wide range of conditions, including prostate and kidney cancers, bladder issues, laser-assisted surgery for enlarged prostate (BPH), and men’s reproductive health such as non-scalpel vasectomy. He also works closely with women experiencing bladder problems like frequent urges or leakage – common symptoms that can disrupt everyday life but are often manageable with the right care.
He is especially known for his expertise in Aquablation therapy, an incision-free treatment for BPH. It uses a precise stream of water to relieve symptoms without surgical incisions or heat. AdventHealth Fish Memorial is the first and only hospital in Volusia County to offer this advanced therapy. It is performed by Sinha and the expert team from Advanced Urology Institute in Orange City.
“Dr. Sinha is already making a difference for our patients,” said Dr. Stephen Knych, chief medical officer at AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “Aquablation is the kind of leading-edge treatment people used to travel to find — and now it’s right here in our community.”
Sinha earned his medical degree from Patna Medical College in India. He completed a general surgery residency at Brookdale Hospital and Medical Center in New York, followed by a urology residency at the University of Minnesota.
He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the International College of Surgeons (FICS).
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, he has lectured internationally, sharing his knowledge with medical professionals in Germany, France, Italy, India, and Spain.
“Welcoming Dr. Sinha to West Volusia is about far more than expanding specialty medical services – it’s about strengthening the trust our community places in us every day,” said Eric Lunde, president and CEO of AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “When someone walks through our doors, they’re entrusting us with more than their health, they’re looking for compassion, connection, and care that sees the whole person. Dr. Sinha brings that to every patient he meets, and we’re honored to have him as a part of our growing network of specialists.”
Sinha is now accepting new adult and geriatric patients in Orange City at 1061 Medical Center Drive, Suite 310. To reach the clinic, call Call386-917-7833. Visit AdventHealth Medical Group Urology for more information on Aquablation Therapy and other advanced treatment options.
