In specialties ranging from gastroenterology and general surgery to vascular surgery, AdventHealth Medical Group welcomed three physicians to Volusia County this month, bringing the total to nearly 15 new physicians in recent weeks.
The latest additions include gastroenterologist Dr. Tomas Rodriguez-Molinet, general surgeon Dr. Huy Hoang and vascular surgeon Dr. Min Li Xu.
With the addition of these three physicians, AdventHealth Medical Group has welcomed nearly 15 new physicians, including five other specialists in Volusia County, four specialists in Flagler County, a cardiology specialist in North Lake County and another vascular specialist since the beginning of August.
Comprising 70 practice locations across Flagler, Lake, Sumter and Volusia counties, and nearly 400 employed physicians and advanced practice providers, AdventHealth Medical Group clinicians collectively cared for more than one million patient visits in 2023.

The three new doctors in West Volusia County include:

Fluent in English and Vietnamese, Hoang earned his medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining AdventHealth, he served as chief resident of general surgery at Mount Siani Medical Center in Miami. A robotically trained surgeon, he specializes in gastrointestinal, laparoscopic, abdominal hernia and vascular access surgeries, as well as surgical wound care. Before becoming a surgeon, Hoang was a public high school science teacher in Los Angeles, California. He will see patients as part of AdventHealth Medical Group General Surgery at Orange City located at 1061 Medical Center Drive, Suite 300 and perform procedures at AdventHealth Fish Memorial. Board-certified in gastroenterology, Rodriguez-Molinet most recently served as an assistant professor of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. Rodriguez-Molinet has also cared for patients while in private practice in West Palm Beach and Miami. He will perform procedures at AdventHealth DeLand and treat patients with AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology at DeLand located at 1070 North Stone Street, Suite D. Board-eligible vascular surgeon, Xu completed her fellowships in vascular surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York where she also did her residency. Xu specializes in aortic, endovascular, peripheral vascular, vascular access and venous surgeries. The author of numerous papers, articles and presentations, Xu completed her medical degree at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York. Xu will treat patients as a member of AdventHealth Medical Group Vascular Surgery at Orange City located at 1061 Medical Center Drive, Suite 300 and will perform procedures at AdventHealth DeLand.
