The AdventHealth Wauchula Foundation hosted its annual Boots and Pearls event and included a one-time-only Topping Out celebration on February 4th, where everyone could sign a metal beam that was placed into the new buildings structure. Held on the new hospital's grounds, the unique event included a mouthwatering dinner by Damon and Darin Hughes and a live cake auction featuring desserts prepared by some of Hardee County's finest bakers.
All funds raised at the Topping Out celebration benefit the AdventHealth Wauchula's current campaign, Advancing the Legacy. The goal of this $2 million campaign is to help offset building expenses of the new, state-of-the-art hospital. The new hospital is located at 735 S. 5th Avenue in Wauchula and is expected to be completed in December 2017.
The Topping Out celebration raised more than $31,000 in funds. The AdventHealth Wauchula Foundation thanks the community for their support toward the $2 million goal.
