The surgical team at AdventHealth Redmond celebrates the completion of the location's 1,000th robotic surgery.
AdventHealth Redmond is proud to announce a major milestone in its commitment to advanced, patient-centered care: the completion of its 1,000th robotic surgery. This achievement reflects AdventHealth’s dedication, innovation, and teamwork aimed at improving surgical outcomes for patients across Northwest Georgia.
“This milestone is the result of years of hard work, continuous learning, and shared belief in what's best for our patients,” said Bret Sanders, director of Surgical Services at AdventHealth Redmond. “I am incredibly proud of our team — surgeons, nurses, techs, and support staff — who've embraced innovation and made this level of care possible for so many in our community.”
Adding to the celebration, the surgical team successfully performed its first procedure using the new da Vinci 5 surgical robot on July 30. This next-generation technology enhances control and visualization, allowing surgeons to deliver even greater precision and expertise with minimally invasive techniques.
“We’re honored to bring this level of innovation to our community, and we remain dedicated to advancing patient care while keeping compassion at the heart of everything we do,” said Isaac Sendros, president and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “These achievements are evidence of our continued efforts to extend our mission and serve the members of our community.”
As AdventHealth Redmond looks to the future, we remain focused on expanding access to cutting-edge surgical technology while staying grounded in our mission to Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ and offer complete, whole-person care.
