— AdventHealth College Boulevard is now open in the heart of Overland Park at College Boulevard and Metcalf Avenue. The campus includes AdventHealth’s fourth 24/7 emergency department in Johnson County.
The $35 million development spans 51,000 square feet and includes an emergency department with eight exam rooms and a full-service lab, in addition to an imaging center with ultrasound, X-ray, fluoroscopy and CT scan services available to outpatients and emergency patients. As with AdventHealth’s other emergency department locations, emergency patients who need to be admitted for hospital care are transferred to AdventHealth Shawnee Mission without cost to the patient.
“Our goal is to continue providing the exceptional, whole-person care our patients expect, in a location that meets their emergency care needs closer to where they live, work and play,” said Sam Huenergardt, CEO of AdventHealth’s Mid-America Region. “We’re thrilled to continue our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ through the addition of the AdventHealth College Boulevard location.”
AdventHealth College Boulevard will initially generate 25 new jobs. The campus will continue to be built out over the next year with a primary care practice on the second floor and an outpatient health and wellness center on the third floor that will feature integrative medicine, nutritional medicine and functional medicine to complement traditional medical care.
“We are committed to providing an outstanding patient experience with our expert, state-of-the-art emergency care,” said David Finkle, MD, AdventHealth College Boulevard ER Medical Director. “We want patients to feel confident that no matter which AdventHealth location they visit, they can expect the same standard of exceptional, whole-person care.”
AdventHealth College Boulevard is located at 7025 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS 66211 – on the southeast corner of College Boulevard and Metcalf Avenue, just south of I-435.
