N.C., AdventHealth Hendersonville Names New Director for The Baby Place

Oct. 25, 2021; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville has named Chloe Harden, BSN, RNC-OB as its Director of The Baby Place at AdventHealth. Harden has been part of the exceptional nursing team in The Baby Place for more than 10 years, most recently serving as Nurse Manager for this mother and baby unit.

Harden earned her associate degree in nursing from Blue Ridge Community College in Hendersonville, N.C., and completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. She joined the AdventHealth Nursing team as a certified nurse aid in 2007.

The combination of various aspects of patient care and nursing leadership led to Harden’s nomination for participation in AdventHealth’s Emerging Leaders Program. The program empowers team members who have expressed interest in leadership roles to learn about all aspects of the health system and how their own work contributes to the ability to fulfill the mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

“I have a passion to provide the amazing nurses in The Baby Place the training and support they need to make sure our mothers feel loved and cared for as they welcome their babies into their families,” says Harden. “Building this trust among our team is what makes The Baby Place incredible.”

“Chloe is an amazing resource for our team in The Baby Place. She makes it her priority to equip every member of this team with the knowledge and skill sets to care for the mothers who choose us to help them welcome their babies,” said Teresa Herbert, MD, MPH, FAAP. “Her confidence and compassion have helped our nursing team feel supported as they have navigated caring for mothers and babies in the midst of this pandemic.”
