Lynda McCoy, director of patient experience, has served Gordon Hospital for nearly 12 years and will retire at the end of February.

During McCoy's tenure, Gordon Hospital has consistently ranked as a top performer in patient experience by many different organizations. Most recently, Pam Guler, vice president of patient experience at Adventist Health System, presented Gordon Hospital with several awards including Top Performer in Patient Experience for all of Adventist Health System, in inpatient HCAHPS.

I have been very fortunate to work with almost every department in our organization, said McCoy. I know firsthand that our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ and our definition of patient experience, treating everyone you encounter as you would the person whom you love the most, is more than just words, our staff lives it every day. I am blessed to have worked at Gordon Hospital.

Lynda has been an integral part of our team for the past twelve years, said Amy Jordon, chief nursing officer of Gordon Hospital. Her spirit and determination has blessed our patient experience department and Gordon Hospital as a whole. She will be greatly missed as she enters retirement.
