Caring is What You Do

You’re in Good Company

Your loved ones know they can count on you. Because caring is what you do best. Through good times and bad, you’re always there: ready to help with a hand, a ride, or a smile.

At AdventHealth Gordon, formerly Gordon Hospital, in Calhoun, GA, caring is our hallmark as well — from nurses who will pray beside you to physicians who are dedicated to helping your loved ones heal. We're also here for you with caregiver resources and thoughtful hospital amenities, because keeping you strong helps you be an even better caretaker. We’re glad you’re on our team. If you need anything while you’re here, just ask and we’ll be happy to lend our support in any way we can.

Food and Refreshments

On the ground floor of the hospital, you’ll find The Spice Rack: open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Choose from meat and vegetarian entrées. Or use the microwave oven to heat up your sack lunch. (You won’t offend us.) Need an extra boost? Pick up some complimentary coffee any time between 7 am and 9 pm — available in the cafeteria and in the PCU-vending area.

Open daily. Hours:

  • Breakfast (Not on Weekends or Holidays): 7 am to 9 am
  • Lunch: 11 am to 2 pm
  • Dinner: 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm

If you’re staying with a child 12 or younger, you’ll receive one complimentary meal tray per day, delivered to the child’s room.

When you need a quick snack, vending machines are always open at the north entrance, the east entrance, The Baby Place, or the ICU and PCU lobbies.

Free WiFi and In-Room Local Calling

While you’re visiting your loved one, there’s no need to feel cut off from the rest of the world. Use our free WiFi and local-calling services to stay in touch. You can use the telephone in your loved one’s room by dialing 9 followed by the number you wish to call. For a long-distance number, dial 9, then 0, followed by the area code and number. After the tone, dial your credit-card number to pay for the long-distance call. To reach the operator, simply dial 0. To call your loved one’s room, you can dial 7 plus their room number.

Hospital Gift Shop

When you want to brighten your loved one's day with a special gift, visit our volunteer-run gift shop. Located in the North Lobby, the gift shop offers snacks, cold beverages, and a variety of gifts.

Pastoral Care and Chapels

As a faith-based organization, we know that when you’re going through challenges, a little spiritual boost goes a long way. Our pastoral team is here to serve you by lending a listening ear, providing spiritual counsel, and praying with you at any time. We’re also happy to connect you with a leader from your own religious community. To speak with a chaplain, call the Chaplain’s Office at extension 2203 or ask a nurse.

When you need a peaceful place to contemplate, pray, or relax in a healing environment, you’ll find it in one of our onsite meditation spaces. The Chapel of Hope, North Chapel, Garden of Hope, and Meditation Room offer spiritual refuge and places for healing. Feel free to attend our daily devotional services. Our full list of spiritual resources includes:

  • Devotionals in The Chapel of Hope on Wednesdays at 9 am
  • Spiritual Emphasis Week (once a year)
  • Support Groups for tobacco cessation, cancer and caregivers, and grief recovery
