Learn How You Can Help
- About the Foundation
Whole-person healing for you and everyone in our shared community: that’s our purpose. The AdventHealth Daytona Beach Foundation, formerly Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Foundation, supports our hospital’s efforts to provide better health for the community — and for all the people in our care. We achieve this through innovative technology, strong community education, and regular enhancements to our facilities.
Your gift supports our hospital as we continue to educate, comfort, and serve. With many opportunities for charitable giving, we appreciate any contributions of resources or time, however big or however small. Every donation has the power to change someone’s world.

- Make a Donation
With many opportunities for charitable giving, we let you choose how you'd like to make your local hospital donation. Find out how you can give back in the most personal, meaningful way possible.
Make a Bequest
Create a lasting legacy. Leaving us a bequest in your will or trust is easy, and there are several options. You can gift a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount or asset, or the balance or residue of your estate. Consider making a bequest of a retirement asset, such as an IRA account: using a beneficiary designation form provided by your custodian, simply designate AdventHealth Daytona Beach Foundation as the beneficiary of all or part of your IRA. This way, the full value of the gift is transferred tax-free and your estate receives an estate tax charitable deduction.
Make a Memorial Gift
Want to honor a loved one's memory in a meaningful way? Bring hope and healing to others by Making A Memorial Gift to the hospital in their name.
Friends of the Foundation
Are you an employee of AdventHealth Daytona Beach who would like to do more? Through our Friends of the Foundation program, you can donate a portion of each paycheck to provide financial assistance for people with urgent needs or help us expand our facilities and provide pioneering medical services. Simply complete and return the Friends of the Foundation enrollment.
Share Your Story
Share your story. Express your gratitude. Our physicians, nurses, and administrative staff help many people every day. If you or your loved one received outstanding care from a certain staff member, consider Sharing Your Story to inspire others and thank the people who've impacted you.
Time is valuable. Spend yours where it really counts. By volunteering at your local AdventHealth hospital, you join a powerful group whose ranks include lawyers, professors, schoolteachers, business executives, homemakers, CPAs, administrative assistants, and even rocket scientists. Together, our auxiliary volunteer force has given more than 2.6-million hours of service and raised more than $4.8-million to support the health of our community.
Local hospital volunteers strengthen our hospital by assisting staff, patients, customers, and visitors; working in one of our gift shops; participating in fundraising efforts; and creating a spirit of camaraderie through shared service experiences.

Volunteering with Pastoral Care
Our pastoral-care team provides much-needed hope and spiritual healing to the many people in our care, their families, and friends. If you have theological training and credentialing, consider volunteering to visit with patients to offer support, comfort, and loving care within the context of the patient’s own religious beliefs. Pastoral-care volunteers must show poise, tact, discretion, and sensitivity in meeting and talking with patients and guests. A minimum of four hours a week is required. To get started, Download an application and either bring it into our Pastoral Care Department or send it to:
AdventHealth Daytona Beach
Attn: Pastoral Care Department
301 Memorial Medical Pkwy.
Daytona Beach, FL 32117
If you would like to volunteer in our Pastoral Care clerical office, you don’t need theological credentials, just a desire to serve.
To help patients of your own faith, volunteer as a community church representative. You’ll receive a hospital ID badge and confidentiality training. To get started, you’ll need to complete an orientation program at the hospital and, if necessary, training at your own place of worship.
Volunteer as a Spiritual Ambassador (for employees only)
Spiritual ambassadors are hospital employees who are sensitive to the spiritual needs of the department staff and work in conjunction with pastoral care. They provide comfort and support to their fellow team members through scripture and prayer, and they help us achieve our mission of whole-person health for everyone in our care and in our local community. To sign up, contact the campus chaplain to become a spiritual ambassador or visit the Pastoral Care Department at AdventHealth Daytona Beach.
Help others. Have a blast. Each year, we host a number events — from golf tournaments to in-restaurant charity nights — designed to support our hospital’s fundraising efforts and engage with the community. Bring your friends or family and prepare for a meaningful celebration.
