The AdventHealth Office of Advanced Practice Providers is a centralized coordinating center that optimizes services related to advanced practice providers (APPs) within AdventHealth Medical Group. By integrating exceptional education, innovative research and continuous professional development, we offer comprehensive support to all employed APPs.

Our goal is to be a center for excellence and a national model for APP practice. We strive to foster a systemwide standard of care and practice, ensuring excellence throughout our organization.

We create and promote a culture that supports the growth and development of APPs as vital team members, in collaboration with the health care team, to provide high-quality, value-based health care to our patients and community.

  • Policy Development

    We develop policies for the APP scope of practice and roles and refine best practices with medical and nursing leadership.

  • Professional Development

    Our office provides leadership training and career development opportunities to support ongoing education, training and mentorship for APPs.

  • Quality Improvement

    We oversee APP performance using KPIs and clinical outcomes, encouraging APP participation in quality improvement projects.

  • Collaboration

    We facilitate communication and teamwork among health care professionals and serve as a liaison between advanced practice providers (APPs) and organizational leadership.

  • Compliance

    Our team ensures APP practices meet local, state and federal regulations, while staying current with policy changes impacting APP roles.

  • Recruitment

    Our office develops strategies to recruit and retain qualified APPs, creating job descriptions and supporting APPs in addressing workplace challenges.

  • Advocacy

    We promote APP recognition and career advancement opportunities and represent APP perspectives in organizational meetings and discussions.

  • Education

    We ensure APPs are enrolled in Transition to Practice programs and receive ongoing clinical education, while facilitating access to continuing education resources and opportunities.
