Our Hematology and Oncology APP Fellowship is a 12-month comprehensive program that prepares you for your role as an advanced practice provider. It offers a deeper understanding of hematology and oncology medicine through didactic evidence-based education and structured clinical rotations with sub-specialties within AdventHealth. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to gain the specialized skills and knowledge needed to become an empathetic and efficient APP who provides whole-person care.
From chemotherapy and immunotherapy to targeted treatments, hematology and oncology are robust fields with new developments each day. Our fellowship program fosters the development of the foundation and principles of a thorough and skilled provider to continuously evolve with today’s rapidly changing and more subspecialized practice landscape.
What To Expect From Our Hematology and OncologyFellowship
In our hematology and oncology fellowship program, APPs are offered a comprehensive and structured training experience designed to enhance their skills and knowledge in managing a variety of patients. Some of the key benefits of our program are below.

Advanced Clinical Skills
Develop critical thinking skills to provide whole-person patient care with evidence-based practice. Gain experience, proficiency and confidence in procedural skills.
Specialized Knowledge
Receive specialized education and clinical exposure to a wide range of subspecialties, including hematology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, stem cell transplantation and palliative care medicine.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Work with a multidisciplinary team of highly respected physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical pharmacists, nurses and other dedicated health care professionals which helps improve effective communication skills and teamwork for the best patient outcomes.

Clinical Curriculum
Our comprehensive clinical curriculum is designed around core rotation blocks while in a secure learning environment:
Hematology (benign and malignant)
Medical oncology (breast, colorectal, head and neck, lung and gynecologic)
Palliative care medicine
Radiation oncology
Stem cell transplant and cellular therapy
Surgical oncology
Didactic Curriculum
Our didactic curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive education weekly through a combination of structured lectures, hands-on training with program faculty and one-on-one supervision.

Eligible Applicants
Any graduated AG-ACNP/ACNP or PA-C
Current AG-ACNP/ACNP or PA students currently enrolled in an accredited program
Requirements Prior to Program Start
National board certification
Florida licensing
Required Materials for Application
Curriculum vitae/resume
One-page statement of interest
Transcripts from graduate education program — if you are a current student, send transcripts reflective of status within the program (minimum GPA of 3.5 required)
Copy of BLS and ACLS certifications
Three letters of recommendation addressing clinical experience, clinical knowledge, critical thinking and professionalism — specifications for letters of recommendation found on application
Fellows are selected based on demonstrated academic and clinical achievement, commitment to practice in a critical care environment, motivation, communication skills, overall maturity and growth mindset.
Upon acceptance of the online application, applicants must be available for an interview with program staff at AdventHealth. All travel-related costs are at the expense of the candidate.
Successful applications will meet all hiring requirements of the AdventHealth Medical Group Human Resources Department.

Fellowship Completion
After completing the AdventHealth Medical Group APP Fellowship, participants will receive a certificate of completion issued by the program, signed by the program directors and medical directors, a Continuing Medical Education (CME) statement and an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) as applicable.
Full-time employment offers are contingent upon position availability and performance review.

The deadline for application submission is October 31, 2025. Applicant interviews will be conducted in the Fall 2025, with applicants selected and notified by January 5, 2026.
