Where Our Mission Meets Your Calling
Our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Surgical Oncology APP Fellowship provides advanced practice providers (APPs) with specialized surgical training and collaborative clinical experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery and surgical oncology, including breast, hepatobiliary, melanoma and sarcoma, with a focus on gaining competence and confidence in surgical and perioperative skills.
Nationwide, there is a growing demand for educated and compassionate advanced practice providers. We’re dedicated to meeting that need by providing 12-month post-graduate fellowships for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
As we follow our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ, we are committed to growing the clinical, academic and patient experience skills you’ll need to succeed as part of the next generation of APPs at AdventHealth. Our fellowship program is a dedicated year of training and education to prepare you for your role as an advanced practice provider.
Grow Your Skills in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Surgical Oncology
Plastic and reconstructive surgery focuses on restoring form and function to the body through procedures that address cancer-related defects, trauma, congenital anomalies and aesthetic concerns, while surgical oncology involves the surgical management of cancer, including tumor resection, lymph node evaluation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive cancer care. Together, these specialties play a critical role in both lifesaving and life-enhancing procedures, especially for patients facing complex oncologic or reconstructive challenges such as breast cancer, melanoma or sarcoma.
