NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., December 27, 2017 Florida Hospital New Smyrna has selected Julie Lawlor to serve as nurse manager, overseeing the nursing care provided within the hospitals 31-bed medical/surgical overflow unit.
Lawlor has more than 21 years of nursing experience and recently served as nursing supervisor and clinical charge nurse for a 31-bed medical/surgical/orthopedic unit in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
An Edgewater resident, Lawlor earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rollins College in Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Additionally, she is board certified in medical-surgical nursing by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also is the past president of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON).
