Nasia Collins, CPT, with her SonShine Award certificate.
Nasia Collins, CPT, a phlebotomist at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, has been honored as the latest recipient of the SonShine Award. Nasia was recognized for her bright spirit and her commitment to making a positive impact on the experience of nursing staff and patients.
One of Nasia’s nominations read: “She continually goes above and beyond for our patients. Anytime we have trouble, we can always count on her to show up to help. We ask her to do so much for us, and I have never once heard her complain or be frustrated with us. She’s always smiling, happy and joking around. She shines a light on our unit. She goes above and beyond by answering our patients’ requests, helping out where she can, and getting people blankets and water. Her positive attitude and encouragement are some of the things I love about her... she is the best!”
The SonShine Award was established by AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray in 2017 to honor the hard work and dedication of their team members. The recipients of the SonShine award “shine” for the “Son” of God through their warm and comforting care they provide to patients and their fellow team members.
Quarterly awards like this one provide opportunities for patients, visitors and other team members to recognize and reward team members for exceptional accomplishments and demonstrated behaviors that are aligned to the mission, vision and values of AdventHealth.
Please join us in celebrating Nasia and her dedication to providing whole-person care through her work.
