Board-certified neurologist Dr. Zarmina Mufti has joined AdventHealth Medical Group and is now caring for patients at AdventHealth, expanding access to expert, whole-person neurological care for residents across West Volusia.
Mufti specializes in headache disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuroimaging, combining advanced training with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
“Neurology is deeply personal — every patient’s story is unique,” Mufti said. “My goal is to help people feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether they’re facing migraines, seizures, or movement challenges, I want them to know they’re not alone and that we’ll navigate their journey together.”
As part of AdventHealth Medical Group’s growing network of nearly 450 physicians and advanced practitioners across Flagler, Lake, and Volusia counties, Mufti strengthens the system’s commitment to bringing specialty services closer to home.
“Dr. Mufti’s addition to our team is a significant milestone for our community,” said Dr. Stephen Knych, chief medical officer at AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “As the only outpatient neurologist based here on the campus of Fish Memorial, her presence ensures that patients in West Volusia have direct access to expert neurological care close to home. Her commitment to evidence-based, compassionate medicine exemplifies AdventHealth’s mission to help every patient feel whole.”
Mufti earned her medical degree from Frontier Medical College in Abbottabad, Pakistan, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where she served as both chief neurology resident and wellness chief resident. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Following residency, she pursued fellowship training in headache medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, gaining specialized expertise in managing migraine and complex headache disorders.
A strong advocate for physician wellness and mentorship, Mufti founded peer and wellness programs during her training and continues to promote these initiatives within the medical community.
Mufti, while having additional training in headache disorders, she also provides comprehensive neurological care for adult and geriatric patients.
She is now seeing patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Neurology at Orange City,
located at 1061 Medical Center Dr., Ste. 305, Orange City, FL 32763.
