Jennifer Wandersleben has been named president/CEO of Acute Care Services for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division – South Region.
Wandersleben will lead strategies, planning, development, implementation, and operational oversight of hospitals and hospital-based services across Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Polk counties, reporting to AdventHealth Central Florida Division President and CEO Daryl Tol. She succeeds Eric Stevens in the role, which she will assume Dec. 23.
“Jennifer’s diverse experience in network expansion and leading through change will serve her well in this critically important role,” Tol said. “She is mission-focused, leads with heart and understands the rapidly changing health care needs of our community.”
Since 2016, Wandersleben has served as the CEO for AdventHealth Winter Park. Under her leadership, the hospital added the five-story, 140 patient room Nicholson Pavilion. In this role, she also helped oversee AdventHealth’s partnership with the Winter Park Health Foundation for the Center for Health and Wellbeing, an integrated first-of-its-kind facility that brings together wellness, fitness and medicine.
From 2011-2016, Jennifer served as administrator of AdventHealth Apopka, where she oversaw planning and construction of the new $203 million hospital, which opened in late 2017.
“I am thrilled to begin this new chapter and work with such a dynamic team of innovators, bold thinkers and patient-centered advocates,” said Wandersleben.
Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Missouri State University and a master's in business administration from Webster University. She serves on the Board of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce as well as the Mayflower Continuing Care Retirement Community. Jennifer and her husband Eric have four children: Luke, Micah, Cristian, and Becca.
A search for a new CEO to lead AdventHealth Winter Park is underway.
