On Sept. 18, at Eastern Kentucky University, AdventHealth Manchester hosted a moving celebration honoring the heart and soul of healthcare—our dedicated providers.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Jonathan Owens, Spiritual Integration Manager, whose words set a tone of reflection and gratitude. Nick Bejarano, President and CEO, followed with a heartfelt message, reminding attendees of the deep appreciation and vital importance of our providers’ work in fulfilling our mission.
The program featured inspiring insights from Dr. Ashtin Nix, pediatrician at AdventHealth Manchester, who spoke on the joy of caregiving and the importance of self-care. Dr. Anita Cornett, Chief Medical Officer at AdventHealth Manchester, reflected on the origins of Stories from the Heart, illustrating how a simple idea blossomed into a cherished tradition that continues to uplift and unite.
The night’s keynote was delivered by Dr. Scottie Day, Chief Medical Officer of UK Healthcare and Kentucky Children’s Hospital, who emphasized the power of presence, encouraging providers to live in the moment and recognize the compassion that drives their journey.
“We are incredibly grateful to all our providers who joined us,” said Jonathan Owens, Spiritual Integration Manager. “Your dedication and compassion inspire us every day.”
This event was a testament to the strength, heart, and humanity of our healthcare community. Thank you to all who made it a success.
