Anna Herring, RN, has been named AdventHealth Gordon’s latest DAISY Award recipient. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the super-human tasks nurses perform every day.
Anna Herring, who works on the progressive care unit (PCU) was nominated by a fellow team member for the DAISY Award. The nominating team member described Herring as a true team player, who took the time and effort to safely and meticulously ensure a safe transfer for a patent from the PCU to the Med/Surg unit. The nominating team member wrote the following:
“Small kindnesses go a long way. Being thoughtful, sweet and caring to nurses and not just to patients is something that should be praised. It's refreshing when we can choose to treat each other as companions in this work of healing. I hope this can be a blessing to her as she has been to us. She spread a little of Christ's love to those around her today and I wanted to say thank you.”
