Florida Hospital Names Chief Executive Officer for Employed Physician Group

VOLUSIA/FLAGLER COUNTIES, April 5, 2017 Ilene Gilbert-Droge has been named president and chief executive officer for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, the employed group of more than 160 primary care physicians and specialists for the Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, effective April 17. As the executive leader of Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, Gilbert-Droge will be responsible for leading multiple system-wide strategic projects for the employed physician group. Gilbert-Droge has more than 20 years of progressive healthcare experience with large, nationally recognized health systems, including: Kaiser Permanente, MultiCare Health System, and Provena Health (now Presence Health). An Ormond Beach resident, Gilbert-Droge earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix at the Hillsboro, Oregon campus. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification, recognizing her experience implementing and managing sustainable process improvement programs. In addition, Gilbert-Droge received the Medical Group Management Association Practice Executive of the Year award in 2014. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives, a certified medical practice executive by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, an executive fellow of the American Academy of Medical Management, and is certified by the Professional Academy for Health Care Management. In addition, she is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, the American College of Medical Practice Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives western chapter. About Florida Hospital East Florida Region A member of Adventist Health System, Florida Hospitals mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ. Encompassing six Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, the Florida Hospital East Florida Region is the largest hospital system in the area, with 907 beds and more than 6,000 employees.
