AdventHealth Manchester is proud to announce that Danielle Roberts has been honored with the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This award recognizes the exceptional care and compassion that Danielle has consistently demonstrated in her role as a nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit.
The DAISY Award is a national recognition program that honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day. Each DAISY Award Honoree is celebrated at a public ceremony in their unit and receives a beautiful certificate, a DAISY Award pin, and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled "A Healer's Touch." Additionally, the entire unit celebrates with cinnamon rolls, a favorite of Patrick Barnes, in whose memory the award was established.

Danielle was nominated by a patient who experienced Danielle's extraordinary care firsthand. She shared how Danielle made a meaningful difference during her stay, before and after giving birth. The patient described Danielle as "the absolute best," highlighting her caring nature and the way she made her feel like family. Danielle's kindness and dedication were particularly evident during the patient's epidural, where Danielle's support was described as a "saving grace."
The patient's nomination emphasized how Danielle went above and beyond, not only providing exceptional care to the patient but also to her newborn daughter. she shared, "Danielle is the kind of nurse I pray everyone has during labor and delivery. She is truly deserving of this award."
