AdventHealth has appointed Brandon Nudd as the next president and chief executive officer of AdventHealth Waterman. He will begin the role on Oct. 6.
Nudd has spent more than two decades with AdventHealth, most recently serving as president and CEO of AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk in North Carolina. There, he oversaw more than 1,800 team members across two hospitals, guiding growth in new service lines, facility expansions and partnerships designed to make care more accessible across Western North Carolina.
“Hospitals are more than buildings. They are part of the community’s fabric,” said Lorenzo Brown, CEO for AdventHealth’s Lakes Region. “Brandon understands that health care is about creating places people can rely on — not just in moments of crisis, but throughout their lives.”
Nudd’s career with AdventHealth began in Florida as a human resources resident. Over the years, he advanced through operations and executive leadership roles, including CEO of AdventHealth Castle Rock in Colorado and chief operating officer of AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray in Georgia.
AdventHealth Waterman has been part of Lake County since 1938 and today operates as a 310-bed acute-care hospital with a wide range of specialty services from emergency and critical care to heart and lung programs, cancer treatment, women’s and children’s services, and advanced diagnostic imaging. The hospital is also investing in expansion projects, including a new medical office building and a freestanding emergency department in Fruitland Park, both slated to open in 2026.
For Nudd, the new role is a return to familiar ground.
“I’m honored to return to Florida,” Nudd said. “This hospital has been a trusted part of Lake County for generations. I see this as an opportunity to build on that foundation to make care even more accessible, more personal, and more connected to the lives of the people who count on us every day.”
Nudd holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He is board certified in health care management by the American College of Healthcare Executives and was part of the inaugural class of AdventHealth’s Executive Leadership Program.
