(June 27, 2022) Wesley Chapel, FL - AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has been named as one of Newsweek’s Best Maternity Hospitals for 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. Newsweek and Statista invited over 10,000 medical professionals to participate in the survey. Only 350 winners were recognized on the Best Maternity Hospitals 2022 list.
“Our patients are at the center of everything we do, and this recognition speaks directly to the commitment of the entire team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel to deliver the best maternity care possible to our community. I am so grateful for their continued resilience and dedication to serve others,” said Dawn Hicks-Waldron, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, AdventHealth Wesley Chapel.
Newsweek and Statista developed a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation:
- Nationwide online survey: hospital managers and health care professionals with knowledge about maternity processes e.g. Midwives, neonatal and OB/GYNs were asked to recommend leading maternity hospitals in the US
- Medical KPIs on hospitals with a focus on indicators relevant to maternity care
- Results from patient surveys
“We have some of the best healthcare workers in the Tampa Bay area. Our entire team is engaged and pride themselves on quality care, safety and patient experience for every patient we serve. We know families have many choices for care when it comes to bringing precious life into this world and we are honored to be a part of their special moments,” said Maria C. Boyd, Director of The Baby Place at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel.
