AdventHealth Gordon's breast imaging team and AdventHealth Gordon leadership gathered to celebrate their designation as a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®).

AdventHealth Gordon has been designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®).

The AdventHealth Gordon Edna Owens Breast Center offers screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, same day breast biopsy and genetic testing. In addition, AdventHealth provides breast nurse navigator services for navigating appointments and treatments in cases of breast cancer diagnosis.

By awarding facilities this status, ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).

Peer-review evaluations, conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field, have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
