ORLANDO, Fla. — AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division and United Surgical Partners International (USPI) recently expanded their partnership with the opening of a new ambulatory surgery center near downtown Orlando.
The AdventHealth Surgery Center Mills Park offers a convenient option for patients seeking top-quality surgical care throughout Central Florida. The center is approximately 13,000 square feet and includes four operating rooms, focused on urology procedures. It is located at 1812 N. Mills Ave., less than a mile from AdventHealth Orlando.
“Our goal is to create a connected network of care with the consumer at the center,” said Jake McKelvy, Vice President Retail Services for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. “Adding ambulatory surgery facilities to our care continuum allows a lower-cost venue for surgeries than would be possible in a hospital setting.”
“The collaborative, community-focused partnership with AdventHealth allows us to increase patient access, expand our service offerings, and provide top-quality surgical care to patients in need across Central Florida,” said Collin LeMaistre, USPI Market President, Southeast. “The highly trained Mills Park healthcare team is committed to providing top-quality care and treating each patient like family. We look forward to continuing to expand access to compassionate surgical care for the community.”
AdventHealth is increasingly moving into the ambulatory surgery center space, having recently opened surgery centers in Lake Mary and Maitland. Centers are also under construction or planned in Clermont, Daytona Beach and in the new Innovation Tower on the campus of AdventHealth Orlando.
“We’re excited about expanding our partnership with USPI and our network of ambulatory surgery centers,” McKelvy said. “We see great potential to expand access to this level of care for patients all across Central Florida.”
