Amber Brooke Farms, an agritourism destination located in Eustis, and AdventHealth Waterman have established a multi-year partnership focused on encouraging community health and well-being.

A new one-mile walking trail around the 55-acre farm is a centerpiece of the partnership. Designed to encourage exploration of the farm’s fields and activities, the interactive experience features 10 unique stops, each with tips highlighting the benefits of walking for improving physical and mental health.
The personal connection between health and walking resonates strongly with Alison Atwood, Amber Brooke Farms co-founder.
“Walking has been huge for my health, especially during my recovery from cancer surgery,” Atwood shared. “I’m excited to help others go on their own personal health journey while enjoying a day at the farm.”
This partnership, which brings together two of Florida’s leading industries – tourism and agriculture through Amber Brooke Farms – with the only national non-profit health system headquartered in Florida through AdventHealth, is tailor-made for both organizations.
“The core values of our farm are all about embracing the community and encouraging visitors to take charge of their health,” said Brooke Hill, Amber Brooke Farms co-founder. “This partnership with AdventHealth, an organization focused on helping to care for our community, is a perfect fit for us.”
In addition to the walking trail, the farm’s activity pavilion will display the AdventHealth name and the hospital system will become the presenting sponsor for year-round festivals, including the Strawberry festival (February), Easter festival and Blueberry festival (April). Sweet Corn festival (May), Fall festival (September and October) and Winter festival (November and December). In connection with these festivals, AdventHealth will host health screenings and fitness activities, as well as offer free or discounted opportunities to pick fresh fruits and vegetables.
“Amber Brooke Farms is a true hidden gem in north Lake County,” said Abel Biri, president and CEO of AdventHealth Waterman. “We believe food is medicine, and to be involved with this incredible farm throughout the year provides an ideal opportunity to highlight the benefits of whole person care for residents and visitors to our community alike.”
