Shortly after undergoing surgery at an East Florida AdventHealth facility, a man embarked on a trip to Tennessee to visit his girlfriend. During his stay, he noticed swelling at the site of his IV insertion. Eager for a professional evaluation, he turned to his maps in search of a nearby clinic. To his delight, he discovered an AdventHealth clinic in Pineville, KY, just a 30-minute drive away. Embracing the continuity of care within the AdventHealth family, he made the journey to the clinic.
Upon arrival, he received care from Macy Chambers, APRN, who promptly ordered an ultrasound. With efficiency and care, Macy informed him that he could have the procedure done the same day at AdventHealth Manchester hospital, located 40 minutes north of Pineville. Without hesitation, the man drove to the hospital, where technician, Devin Moreland, conducted the exam.
Later that day, Macy reached out with his results, completing a seamless care experience that spanned over 700 miles. Throughout his journey, the man expressed his gratitude and excitement for the ability to continue his care with AdventHealth, a testament to the network's far-reaching and patient-centered approach.
