These techniques are often found in impostor schemes, in which the caller poses as a government or business with threats of lawsuits, arrest warrants, or other schemes to coerce the consumer into giving personal account information over the phone or via text message. Consumers are to be advised: AdventHealth Manchester has received reports that telemarketers are using the AdventHealth name and phone number in a scam to sell back braces and other medical supplies.
Consumers should be advised that if they receive a phone call from someone selling medical supplies and claiming to be with AdventHealth Manchester, they should not share any personal or financial information. AdventHealth Manchester will never call patients or consumers to sell medical supplies.
