I’ve never been to an AdventHealth physician before. Can I still use telehealth?

 Yes. We are accepting telehealth appointments for new patients. If you are a new patient and need assistance getting started, call Call828-527-0015.

What will I need for a telehealth appointment?

A telehealth appointment is a scheduled appointment with your regular physician or a new provider that occurs using the audio and video capabilities of your tablet, mobile phone or computer.

Which providers offer telehealth?

AdventHealth telehealth services are offered by both primary and specialty care physicians. Call your provider’s office to find out if they have telehealth appointments available. If you are a new patient and need assistance getting started, call Call828-527-0015.

What kind of visit can happen through telehealth?

AdventHealth providers are available for the following kinds of visits via telehealth:

  • Follow-up visits
  • New patient visits
  • Sick visits

What are the hours of operation for telehealth?

The hours available for telehealth are the same as a provider’s regular business hours.

How does telehealth work through FaceTime?

Download the FaceTime app to your Apple device (FaceTime will not work on an Android phone or PC).

Call your provider’s office and give the scheduler the phone number associated with your FaceTime account. 

The provider will call you at the scheduled appointment time and the appointment will begin when you answer the call.

How does telehealth work through Skype?

Download the Free version of the Skype app to your smartphone or computer. 

Make sure the computer has a camera.

Follow the instructions for setting up an account. 

When the Medical Assistant calls to review your chart, they will confirm your Skype platform and have you search for the provider’s name. The Medical Assistant will share the name formatting and ask you to connect. This helps the provider find your Skype name efficiently.

How does telehealth work through Zoom?

Download the Zoom app to your smartphone or computer.

Follow the instructions for setting up an account.

Share your username with the scheduler when setting up your appointment.
