A Wound Care Program Designed With You in Mind

Wounds, especially the ones that just don't heal, take their toll, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There’s more to deal with than just what's on the surface. That’s why we listen closely when you tell us what you’re going through. Because we know the most important aspect of our Wound Care program is the way it can conform to your needs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Breathing deeply and consciously is a meditative process that works to calm and center the mind. When you add pure oxygen to this practice, it becomes physically healing as well. At AdventHealth Gordon, we’re committed to investing in leading-edge wound care techniques and treatments. One we're proud to offer is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). With HBOT treatments, you'll breathe in 100 percent oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure, which will help reduce infections and regenerate healthy tissue. Healing is possible. You'll find it here.

Understanding the Problem

When the body's natural wound healing process is delayed or hindered, the wound site becomes an ongoing medical problem. It is important to understand the two sets of factors that can impede the healing process:

  • Local Factors: Those that occur at the wound site, such as prolonged pressure on the wound, re-injured and swollen wound tissue, localized infection in the wound site, and others.
  • Systemic Factors: Those that affect the entire body and are not confined to just the wound site, such as age, chronic disease, comprised immune system due to disease or medication and radiation therapy, poor circulation, and others.
