As Hurricane Irma and its winds and rain continue to move northwest across the state of Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal has declared that all of Georgia is now under a state of emergency.

Gordon Hospital has taken steps to make sure all patients are safe. Arrangements have been made for full staffing of physicians and nurses throughout the duration of the storm.

All of our Gordon Physicians Group outpatient clinics and physician practices will be open on Monday morning, September 11, but for the safety of our patients and staff, they will close early at 1 pm. At this point, our clinics expect to open at the regular time on Tuesday morning, but if that changes, we will make an announcement.

For community members who find themselves in need of emergency care, as well as evacuees from Florida, South Georgia, and the Carolinas, our Emergency Department will remain open.

As we witness the devastation and destruction caused by Hurricane Irma, Gordon Hospital stands united in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Florida.
