Extra Safety Measures for Your Protection

We’re employing the following safety measures and protocols to ensure you and your loved ones feel confident, protected and safe in our facilities.

Universal Mask Use

Even in a pandemic, you can feel safe. We’re stocked with safety supplies, and have the personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks for all patients, visitors and team members at our facilities.

Temperature Checks

Have peace of mind that everyone you come into contact with has their temperature checked upon arrival. Every facility. Every time.

Social Distancing

Feel confident you’re doing the right thing to keep yourself and others safe. With limited visitation, new waiting room protocols and more, you can safely practice social distancing.

Separate Waiting and Treatment Areas

Take comfort knowing your safety is our priority. COVID-19-positive and symptomatic patients are carefully quarantined away from patients and visitors.

Enhanced Sanitation Measures

If you’ve visited our facilities in the past, you know that cleanliness has always been one of our top priorities. But now we’re taking extraordinary new steps to ensure thorough, frequent and ongoing sanitation measures are happening around the clock.

The Help You Need, When You Need It

With so many choices — the emergency room, urgent care or your primary care doctor — an unexpected injury or illness may make you feel a little uncertain about where to go.

If you or a family member experience a condition that could cause significant harm without quick medical attention, the emergency room is the place to go. Soon, our new Lake Nona ER will treat emergency conditions such as:

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Head or neck injury
  • Persistent diarrhea
  • Numbness or drooping of the face or body
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe vomiting or vomiting blood
  • Sudden confusion
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Unusual behavior

For non-life-threatening or less severe conditions, Centra Care Lake Nona offers walk-in services, whole family care, primary care and an on-site pharmacy. Seven days a week, we’ve got you covered for sports physicals, lab needs, allergies, coughs, colds, minor bruises, sprains or strains.

If this is a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911.

  • Specialized Emergency Room Care

During an emergency, we understand you want the most efficient and effective care from trained specialists. That’s why we’re building a specialized team of emergency physicians, pain specialists, critical care nurses, and other trained specialists to meet the emergency medical needs of our communities.

  • Overnight Observation

Sometimes a trip to the emergency room will require an overnight stay to fully treat a condition or injury. If your ER doctors think it’s best to keep you overnight, the new Lake Nona ER will offer comfortable overnight observation rooms so your doctors can keep a close eye on your condition and recovery while you focus on healing. There will be no need to transfer to another facility.

  • Benefits of Our Hospital Family

AdventHealth hospitals and ERs are part of a connected network of care, bringing families access to compassionate, expert services to meet unique and individual health needs. If care beyond the emergency room is needed, we can transport you to a nearby AdventHealth hospital where skilled specialists will treat you.
