The Help You Need, When You Need It
With so many choices — the emergency room, urgent care or your primary care doctor — an unexpected injury or illness may make you feel a little uncertain about where to go.
If you or a family member experience a condition that could cause significant harm without quick medical attention, the emergency room is the place to go. Our new Lake Nona ER treats emergency conditions such as:
Chest pain
Difficulty breathing
Head or neck injury
Persistent diarrhea
Numbness or drooping of the face or body
Severe abdominal pain
Severe vomiting or vomiting blood
Sudden confusion
Uncontrolled bleeding
Unusual behavior
For non-life-threatening or less severe conditions, Centra Care Lake Nona offers walk-in services, whole family care, primary care and an on-site pharmacy. Seven days a week, we’ve got you covered for sports physicals, lab needs, allergies, coughs, colds, minor bruises, sprains or strains.
Advanced Care for Emergency Conditions
Our board-certified emergency room physicians, critical care nurses, chest pain experts and stroke specialists can address a wide range of injuries and illnesses. Seek emergency care if you or a loved one are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Broken bones
Complicated fractures
Deep wounds
Difficulty breathing
Heart attack symptoms (such as chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, extreme fatigue, and upper body discomfort)
Major head injury
Poisoning
Severe allergic reactions
Severe burns
Stroke symptoms (such as facial droop, slurred speech, and sudden numbness on one side of the body)
Vomiting or coughing up blood

During an emergency, we understand you want the most efficient and effective care from trained specialists. That’s why we’ve built a specialized team of emergency physicians, pain specialists, critical care nurses, and other trained specialists to meet the emergency medical needs of our communities.
Overnight Observation
Sometimes a trip to the emergency room will require an overnight stay to fully treat a condition or injury. If your ER doctors think it’s best to keep you overnight, the Lake Nona ER offers comfortable overnight observation rooms so your doctors can keep a close eye on your condition and recovery while you focus on healing. There will be no need to transfer to another facility.
