Inspired by the story of Miracle Mattie at Golden Gala XLIII, a baby girl born with biliary atresia who received a life-saving liver transplant at AdventHealth, the Westgate Foundation generously donated $100,000 to fund a new ECHO machine for the new Transplant Institute Evaluation and Diagnostic Center. Now, because of their incredible gift, AdventHealth is able to bring evaluation and diagnostic testing under one roof: the ECHO machine will provide echocardiograms to evaluate patients for lifesaving organs, exponentially reducing the time to be placed on the wait list for all organs—heart, lung, kidney, liver and pancreas—expediting the Gift of Life.
The Westgate Foundation is a catalyst for positive change in our local communities, and in the last year alone, the Foundation has donated over $1 million to over 50 nonprofit organizations nationwide.
