- Texas Health Huguley Hospital

Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South has been honored as a 2024-2025 High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care. This esteemed recognition is the highest award given by U.S. News & World Report in their Best Hospitals for Maternity Care rankings.
The High Performing designation highlights the hospital’s commitment to quality maternity care, evaluated through important metrics such as the rates of severe unexpected newborn complications, birthing-friendly practices, and transparency regarding racial and ethnic disparities.
As a joint venture between Texas Health and AdventHealth, Texas Health Huguley proudly serves the communities of south Fort Worth and Burleson.
“We are honored to receive this High Performing designation,” said Penny Johnson, President and CEO of Texas Health Huguley. “Our team is dedicated to providing loving, high-quality care for mothers and their babies. It’s a privilege to support the families in our community during such a special time in their lives.”
In 2023, the hospital welcomed 1,393 new lives into the world, a testament to its commitment to exceptional maternity services.
Texas Health Huguley is designated as a Level II facility for Maternal and Neonatal Care by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Additionally, the hospital is Texas Ten Step Certified by the Texas Health & Human Services Commission. The certification recognizes successful outcomes for breastfeeding infants and their mothers.
Texas Health Huguley’s commitment to infant safety is further validated by its recognition as a Silver Certified Safe Sleep Hospital by Cribs for Kids®, and as a leader in best practices and education on safe sleep for infants by the National Infant Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program. Furthermore, the hospital is listed as a Blue Distinction® Center for Maternity Care for its dedication to providing the highest quality of care for vaginal and cesarean-section deliveries.
U.S. News & World Report evaluated 817 hospitals across the United States. Remarkably, only half of those evaluated were recognized as Best Hospitals for Maternity Care in the publication’s 2025 ratings, and only 10 out of 22 hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area received this recognition.
Since 2021, U.S. News & World Report has been evaluating maternity care hospitals, rating medical facilities that provide labor and delivery services based on detailed data submitted for analysis. The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care designations are invaluable for expectant parents, assisting them in making informed decisions, together with their prenatal care team, about where to receive maternity services that best meet their family’s needs.
Texas Health Huguley looks forward to continuing its journey of excellence in maternity care, supporting families as they welcome their newest members.
