DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., December 10, 2018 – AdventHealth Memorial Medical Center has selected David Weis to serve as chief operating officer (COO).
Weis most recently served as vice president of operations and chief operating officer for Adventist Health Ukiah Valley in Northern California, providing oversight of operations in the ambulatory and acute care areas of a 68-bed regional medical center with more than 800 employees.
During his tenure, he developed a $172 million master plan to rebuild the medical center in its current location while maintaining all patient care operations. He began his career as a physical therapist at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley. During his nine years with the organization, he became the operations manager of rehabilitation services, was promoted to director of perioperative services, and then became the assistant vice president of operations before being promoted to vice president of operations and COO.
