On Tuesday, Aug. 7, Georgia's First Lady, Sandra Deal, visited The Baby Place at Gordon Hospital to speak to new parents about how important immunizations are for the health of children.

Deal, a children's health advocate, gave families immunization cards to track their child's immunization records and a copy of the children's book Who Id Like to Be by Elizabeth Brown.

We are honored to have Mrs. Deal visit our hospital to speak with our new mothers and fathers about the importance of immunization, said Amy Jordon, Gordon Hospital chief nursing officer. Her passion for children's health is evident with each family she speaks to.
