ORANGE CITY, Fla., August 17, 2018 Family medicine physician Dr. Courtney St. James has joined the AdventHealth HealthCare Partners medical staff at AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
AdventHealth HealthCare Partners is the employed group of more than 160 primary care physicians and specialists for the AdventHealths in Volusia and Flagler counties.
In her new practice, St. James specializes in comprehensive care for the entire family, including chronic care management, women's health, pediatrics, minor procedures and urgent care needs.
St. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She received a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Administration from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire.
She earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua School of Medicine in St. John's, Antigua.
She completed a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Mercer University/Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
St. James is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She also earned a certification in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona's Center for Integrative Medicine. This practice of medicine focuses on the whole person, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches, healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing.
She is a member of the America Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, American Academy of Family Physician, and Florida Academy of Family Physician.
