The Central Florida corporate community recently came together, as race teams representing area businesses and organizations convened in downtown Orlando to participate in the 2018 IOA Corporate 5k. More than 600 Adventist Health System employees registered to join its team, helping AHS win its second consecutive Team Spirit Award, an honor presented to the organization with the largest race team.
“This year’s 5k was such a great experience, and a wonderful opportunity to represent our organization and mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ,” said Trevor Jordan, first-year captain of the Adventist Health System race team. “It was truly an honor to be team captain, and I couldn’t be prouder of how our race team competed and came together as one big AHS family.”
The Adventist Health System race team was a top performer at the event, placing first in the coed health care standings, first in the male health care standings and seventh in the female health care standings.
