Each year, Computerworld, a national publication and digital platform focused on information and business technology, surveys companies across the country to compile a list of the top organizations for employing IT professionals. Once again, in the 25th release of its annual Best Places to Work in IT list, Computerworld has ranked Adventist Health System (AHS) among the nation's best."
Information technology is shaping and influencing so much of how companies function and prosper across industries,' said Brent Snyder, executive vice president and chief information officer for Adventist Health System. 'It is an honor to make this list, and I am thankful that we have a talented team of IT professionals whose knowledge, skill and dedication enable us to support the business and technology systems we need to deliver exceptional patient care and fulfill our mission.'
On the 2018 list of the Best Places to Work in IT, Adventist Health System ranks 53rd among large organizations. The organization's IT department, Adventist Information Technology (AIT) manages and oversees its robust business systems and information technology solutions across its hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, physician practices and business offices. In addition to competitive benefits and compensation, AIT team members have the opportunity to participate in numerous growth and continued learning opportunities, including training and certifications, leadership development courses and subscriptions to online training services.
The list of 100 Best Places to Work in IT is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development and training programs. Computerworld also conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses are heavily factored into the determination of rankings. More than 20,000 IT employees from the final 100 organizations responded to the employee survey.
